Culture is the way of life. It embraces the philosophy of life, taste, tradition, mentality, skills, etc. Actually, a society or community’s culture is reflected in its art, music, literature, etc. It is also a superior work of intellectuality and is regarded as a social distinction. At present, two sharply distinguished cultures-Eastern and Western- are dominating in two parts of the world. The Eastern culture is based on religions like Islam, Hinduism, Jainism and Buddhism. These religions exercise such an impact upon its followers that they are too reluctant to accept or follow any other dictate, culture and instruction. Eastern culture dominates over the countries like India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, China, Burma, Japan, Indonesia, Sri Lanka and the Middle East. 

On the other hand, the western culture is that of the USA, the UK, the European countries and so on. Western culture is based on individual’s rights, needs, privileges, attitudes and ways of life having more scientific and materialistic notions. Now Western culture is intruding and influencing Eastern culture through globalization and satellite TV channels. The violence, fighting, wrestling, boxing, band music, pop music, indecent dance sequences and especially obscene on TV through the satellite channels have an irresistible attraction for the young generation of these countries. Thus, religious values, truth, work and moral virtues are getting destroyed day by day. So the time is up to be serious against this evil power and to protect our traditional religious values. Otherwise, we’ll be swept away by this evil power. But we must take up the good things and thus enrich our culture.

Time is the most valuable thing on this earth; nothing can be compared with it. Once it goes, never be back. It always runs only in forward direction and not in backward direction. Everything in this world depends on time, nothing happens before time. Everything requires some time to get done. If we have not time, we have nothing. Loss of time is considered as the worst thing on this earth because wasting time, wastes us and our future. We never acquire lost time again. If we have lost our time, we have lost everything.

Most of the people value their money more than the time however it is true that nothing is as valuable as time. It is time which gives us money; prosperity and happiness however nothing in this world can give time. Time can only be used; one can never buy or sell it. Most of the people live their life in useless way. They enjoy their time by only eating, playing or other lazy activities with their friends.

In this way they spend days and years. They never think that what they are doing, in what ways they are living their time, etc. Even they never regret their ways of time wasting and never become sorry. Indirectly they have lost their lots of cash and most importantly the time which they never get back.

We should learn from the mistakes of others as well as should inspire from the success of others. We should use our time in doing some useful works so that time may bless us, not destroy.

In the year of 1945 United Nations Organization came into being as the successor of League of Nations. It began with fifty nations as its members but now it has 185 member nations accounting for almost all the countries of entire earth except Switzerland. The nations are the members of the UN General Assembly, the world body's chief deliberate organ. All the other wings are answerable to it through annual and special periodical reports submitted for its consideration. The General Assembly, discusses the reports and gives its approvals, elects General Secretary and the judges of the International court of Justice, admits new members to the Assembly, and also elects the non-permanent members of various councils. There are Economic and Social Council, The Trusteeship council besides the International Court, General Assembly and the Security Council. The General Secretary is the Chief Administrative Office of the world body who heads the UN Secretariat. He presides over the General Assembly meetings and those of other organs of U.N.

In addition to the above main organs, the UNO has several other specialized agencies like ILO (International Labour Organization), UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization), UNCTAD (United Nations Council for Trade and Development), WHO (World Health Organization), etc. These agencies help the parent body in working out agreements on various- related matters to them and in achieving different objectives and goals. Underdeveloped and developing countries are more afflicted by the problem of unemployment than the developed countries in present times. Claims about unemployment in poorer countries have widened as the study by the World Bank in 2004 stated that the unemployment rate in sub-Saharan Africa is at around 30% because people there do not have access to basic amenities. The university graduates in an African country of Tunisia are facing massive unemployment as many students survive on less than $3 in a day.

India operates one of the largest telecommuni­cations networks in the world. It includes communication through telephone, mobile and Internet.

The provision of world class telecommunication-infrastructure is the key to rapid economic and social development of the country. It is also anticipated that in the near future, a major part of the GDP of the country would be contributed by this sector.

In India, telecommunication services were introduced soon after the invention of telegraph and telephone. The first telegraph line between Calcutta and Diamond Harbour was opened for traffic in 1851. By March 1884, telegraph messages could be sent from Agra to Calcutta.

By 1900, telegraph and telephone had started serving the Indian Railways. Telephone service was also introduced in Calcutta in 1881-82, barely six years after the invention of the telephone. The first automatic exchange was commissioned at Simla in 1913-14 with a capacity of 700 lines.

The telecommunication services in India have improved significantly since independence. With the opening of telecom sector to private investment and establishment of an independent regulator, the matter of separation of service provision functions of the Department of Telecommuni­cations (DOT) and providing a level playing field to various service providers including the government service provider, has been achieved.

Initially, the telephone exchanges were of manual type, which were subsequently upgraded to automatic electro-mechanical type. In the last one-and-a-half decade, a significant qualitative improvement has been brought about by inducting digital electronic exchanges in the network on a very large scale. Today all the telephone exchanges in the country are of electronic type.

By the end of 2003-04, India was the tenth largest telecom network in the world, measured in terms of number of phones. The cellular customer base has been growing at a rapid rate.

Fully automatic International Subscriber Dialing (ISD) service is available to almost all the countries. The total number of stations connected to National Subscriber Dialing (NSD) has increased substantially.

The name of the forest is derived from the abundant Sundari trees that grow within its boundaries, making it an ideal habitat for a wide variety of species, including the Royal Bengal Tiger and the spotted deer.

The Sundarbans has been designated as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, and it attracts visitors from all over the world who come to admire its beauty and observe the wildlife that calls this place home. Additionally, the forest also provides valuable resources for wood-based industries, making it a critical part of the national economy in both Bangladesh and India.

However, this stunning natural treasure is facing a serious threat in the form of river erosion, which is causing the forested coastline to retreat by up to 200 meters a year. If erosion continues at this alarming rate, the Sundarbans will disappear in the next 50 years in Bangladesh and within 20 years in India, along with the majestic tigers and other wildlife that inhabit the area.

It is therefore imperative that we take urgent action to protect this unique and valuable ecosystem before it is too late. This is not just a local issue, but a global concern that requires a concerted effort from all of us. The world needs to come together to save the Sundarbans, the Royal Bengal Tigers, and all the other species that call this forest home.

We have 21st, February (International Mother language day), 26th, March (Independence day), 16 th, December (Victory day), Pahela Baishakh (First day of Bengali New year), etc. People celebrate some of these days withe due respect and solemnity, and some other with joy and festivity. Bangladeshi culture and traditions are entirely reflected in these days. Bangladeshi people have the strong tradition of food. Rice is the staple food here. They usually take rice three times in a day with delicious dishes curry. Bangladeshi men wear lungi and women were saree. Different types of arts and crafts are seen in Bangladesh. Weaving pottery, terracotta, Nakshi kantha etc. are traditional in Bangladesh. Bangladeshi culture is enriched, but now the cultures of foreign countries are intruding into our culture. So, we should be careful and try to uphold our own cultures to the world.

fighting against these frequent natural disasters.

Of all these natural calamities, flood is the most common here.

Every year during the rainy season, many parts of the country get submerged. Floods in our country are caused due to many reasons. Heavy rainfall is the main cause of flood. It causes sudden increase of water level in the rivers and canals, which overflows their banks and causes flood. Flood lasting for a long time is a curse to the people of our country as it causes huge loss of life and property. The crop fields, houses, roads and streets go under water.

Crops and vegetables are damaged, and thousands of people become homeless. They face scarcity of food, drinking water and shelter. Various types of waterborne diseases like cholera, diarrhoea, and typhoid break out during floods. Cyclone is another natural calamity in our country.

During the last few years, several devastating cyclones hit Bangladesh and caused immense sufferings to the people. In Bangladesh, it usually originates from the Bay of Bengal and is often associated with thunders and heavy showers. It takes away the lives of many people and animals.

Cyclones also create the scarcity of food and spread different kinds of diseases like dysentery, cholera, fever, etc. in all the affected areas. However, the losses in natural calamities can be reduced to some extent by using modern technology of weather forecasting and prior warning. And flood can also be prevented by building embankments and barrages and by developing a well-planned water passage system.

The river beds should be dredged for carrying more water. Effective measures should be taken by the concerned authorities to mitigate the sufferings of the victims caused by natural disasters.

In a nutshell, it can be said that natural calamities hinder the overall development process of developing countries like Bangladesh. So, steps should be taken to mitigate the adverse effects for the greater interest of the country.

My secret love is a tender whisper in the depths of my heart, a treasure I hold close yet dare not reveal. It's a delicate dance of emotions, a mixture of joy and longing that fills my days with warmth and my nights with dreams. Though kept hidden from the world, it remains a cherished part of who I am, a silent companion on life's journey. In its secrecy lies both exhilaration and challenge, a sweet reminder of the mysteries that lie within the human heart. And while it may remain hidden for now, I hold onto the hope that one day, its light will shine bright for all to see.

Everyone wants to be successful and rich. I also dream of becoming successful in the field I choose although I am still indecisive about the career path I will choose. But I know whatever I choose I will work hard, stay focused and make it big.

I also dream of doing something for my country. There are so many problems in the country such as poverty, illiteracy and casteism to name a few. Our country was once known for its rich cultural heritage which is all robbed now. The crime rate in the country is at an all time rise and so are various other issues. While there are a lot of loopholes in the India political system that has led to these problems however we cannot blame it all on the government. Each one of us should contribute our bit towards our country’s development. I am a firm supporter of each one teach one and have been teaching my maid’s child since the last two years.

As I grow up, I aim to join an NGO to empower the poor and needy. I dream of eradicating poverty and social inequality from our country and will do my best in this direction. If we all join hands we shall certainly be able to free our country from these evils.

Despite challenges, Bangladesh continues to progress in its management systems to foster development and improve the quality of life for its citizens.

Rural life in Bangladesh is like a colorful picture filled with green fields and blue skies. Most people live in small villages surrounded by nature. They wake up early to the sound of birds and the sun rising. Farmers work in the fields growing rice, vegetables, and fruits. These fields look like a giant patchwork quilt made of different shades of green and yellow. Many villagers also have animals like cows, goats, and chickens. The rivers are full of life, with people fishing in small boats. Children play simple games in the open air, and they often help their parents with chores like fetching water from wells or looking after the animals.

Houses in the villages are usually made of mud and bamboo with straw roofs. People sit outside and chat with neighbors, sharing stories and smiles. Life moves slowly here, with everyone knowing each other and celebrating festivals together. They share their food and happiness with everyone around. When the day ends, the sky turns orange and pink, and the air fills with the sweet smell of the earth. Village life in Bangladesh may be simple, but it’s full of joy, hard work, and the beauty of nature.

Illiteracy means complete inability to read and write. This illiteracy is a social curse. It is the root of ignorance, superstition and backwardness. Most people in Bangladesh are illiterate. 68% of the population is deprived of minimum education despite compulsory primary education. Our national life is retarded and beset with innumerable problems—problems created by illiteracy and superstitions. The poverty-stricken people dishearten their children to take education rather they engage their children for craning. As our farmers are illiterate, they cannot grow more production because they are unaware of the latest technical instrument. Not only in agriculture but also in mills, factories we cannot get proper output due to illiterate, non skilled workers. In fact, it is responsible for poor health and bad sanitary condition.

Curse of Illiteracy

It is the spirit of education that can help to eradicate the curse of illiteracy. It is the duty of every Govt. to remove illiteracy from the grass root level. At present education has been made compulsory up to primary level. But lots of children can’t go to primary schools because they have to work for their families. Besides, a large number of boys and girls are compelled to give up education after free primary level. So they forget very soon what they have learnt.

Steps to Remove Illiteracy

There should be adequate arrangement for education. Night schools must be set up. In addition Radio and TV can play a vital role in this regard. Students, teachers, youngmen, women and other responsible persons of the society can do voluntary services to teach the illiterate people and can make them feel the importance of the education.

In fine, illiteracy is a fundamental problem in our country. In order to give our development program a permanent shape, there is no alternative to eradicating this problem as early as possible.

Bangladesh has an enriched historical background. There are many places of historical interest all over the country. We the students of class twelve of our college, got an opportunity to visit such a place. The name of the place is the Buddhist Vihara also known as the Somapura Mahavira. It is situated at Paharpur in Rajshahi Division. It is 200 kms northwest of Dhaka. We went there by public bus. Before we booked seats in a local hotel. After reaching the hotel we took some rest and had some snacks. Next morning we started for the largest single Buddhist monastery in Indian subcontinent. We came to know many surprising things about the place form the officials.Pala emperor Dharmapal founded the Vihara in the 7th century. Renowned Buddhist Sri Atish Dipankara lived several years here. It has 177 rooms. It covers 22 acre courtyard. It was renowned as an intellectual center from 7th to 17th century. Architecturally and historically is is a treasure of the world. So it has been declared as a world heritage site. After seeing the whole area we became very hungry. So we took a slight refreshment in a restaurant. In the evening, we experienced a huge gathering around us. Because people from different parts of the country visit this place to see and enjoy those starling things, now it is in a ruinous condition. So it is our responsibility to save this from being ruined.  I spend eight hours there and saw many historical things and enjoyed myself. I left the Buddhist Vihara but the memory still haunts my mind. It was a nice visit on my part in two ways. On one hand, it was full of pleasure. And on the other hand, it was very educative. So I will never forget the place and the visit.

Food is called human fuel. This is one of the fundamental needs of human life. To grow up and survive on the earth, every human being needs food. But, unfortunately, some dishonest businessmen are responsible to make this life-leading food into an adulterated product. Food adulteration has become nowadays a national issue. When a substance is added to any food item to increase its quantity, not quality is called food adulteration. Any kind of food item including fruits, vegetables, oil, fish, milk products, fast foods, and baby foods is being contaminated with poisonous chemicals.

The main reasons behind this food adulteration are high profit and to remain a fresh good look for a longer period. Some greedy, immoral and dishonest businessmen are behind the behind-scene in this social crime. Contaminated foods contain destructive substances such as Aldrin, DDT, formalin, Chlordane, etc. Several kinds of research there are hardly any food products from vegetables to milk, meat to fish, juice, or biscuit that are not adulterated.

Festivals have always been integral parts of our tradition and culture. We have a number of national festivals and we celebrate them throughout the year with traditional festivities. People from all walks of the society take part in these festivals with national fervour Independence Day and International Mother Language Day are the two most important national festivals which are related to our history of Independence and the Language Movement. 26 March is the Independence Day and it is the biggest national festival of our country. On this day we remember the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for our freedom by offering floral wreaths at the National Mausoleum. 21 February is the International Mother Language Day and it is celebrated all over the world to remember the language martyrs and give equal importance to all languages. The national festivals which are related to our religions are Eid-ul-Fitr, Eid-ul-Azha, Durga Puja, Christmas, Buddha Purnima etc. Although these festivals are related to different religions, they are declared as public holidays and people enjoy them with religious harmony. Pahela Baishakh(the first day of Bangla New Year) on 14 April, Birth anniversary of the noble laureate Rabindranath Tagore on 25 Baishakh and that of the National Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam on 11th Jaystha are observed throughout the country as national festivals. We also observe some other national festivals relating to our culture and tradition.

Facebook is the most popular social network site on the internet. It was launched in February 2004 by former-Harvard University student Mark Zuckerberg. Registered users are allowed to create profiles, upload photos and videos, send messages. They can keep it in touch with their friends, family, and colleagues. Facebook also facilitates us to be connected with friends and family members. The site is available in 37 different languages. Facebook is an entirely free service. But this great blessing of modern science is not out of demerits. Many young generations often become addicted to it. They give more time to it than studies. Though facebook states that it does not allow offensive content, few senseless people post nude pictures or videos. Facebook encourages members to report if they find any content offensive. Overall, Facebook has great importance for the communication of modern people.

The difficulties and obstacles faced by the poorer nations of the global economy on the path to development are extremely diverse. It is the aim of this thesis to address some of the interesting questions related to the key obstacles. As such, this thesis is neither wholly empirical or theoretical, macro or micro and instead may be viewed as an eclectic mix of approaches and ideas that go some way toinvestigating the challenges faced by the world's least developed economies. The first chapter explores the varying effects of aspects of institutional quality on different categories of economic volatility, introducing a unique exogenous instrument for political aspects of the institutional bundle. The second chapter investigates the theory behind the largely failed policy of import substitution industrialisation and promotes a policy of diversification across production in the primary commodity sector within developing countries; specifically that this type of diversification can insulate developing economies from the effects of highly volatile primary commodity prices. The third chapter develops the general equilibrium model of appropriation and production of Grossman and Kim (1996) in order to investigate the effect that the pointiness of the contested resource can have on conflict intensity. The fourth and final chapter extends the discrete time, overlapping generations model of Chakraborty and Das (2005), demonstrating that the inclusion of child mortality reinforces the persistence and prevalence of child labour.

It will benefit our country a lot. A major benefit is that it will reduce corruption by making things more transparent and accountable.

Digital Bangladesh will help us connect with other countries in business, politics, education and culture. It will improve our banking and financial system. Going digital will benefit every sector like agriculture, health, education, commerce.

For this, the government has to take important steps. First, we need a good supply of electricity for computers to function properly. Computer network should be built across the country. People should be trained to use computers and everyone should have access to digital services. In schools, students should have easy access to computers so that they can learn.

If we achieve the goal of Digital Bangladesh, it will help us become a developed country in the world within the next decade. It will make our lives better and make our country better. With the increasing use of the internet and mobile phones, the number of criminal activities has also gained pace.  These criminal-minded people steal the personal details of a person, which leads to financial losses and damages the reputation of the victims. Various scams and fraudulent schemes are offered on the internet like online auctions, advance fees, or any investment scam, which are all aimed at deceiving individuals into parting with their money.

Cybercrime is not limited to financial losses or reputational damage, a more discrete term has emerged; cyberbullying.  In cyberbullying, a person is harassed, humiliated, or threatened online. This can have severe psychological and emotional consequences. Ethical hackers or white hat hackers can help organizations identify vulnerabilities in their systems before malicious hackers exploit them.

Memories are some special visualization on our brain that helps us to recall some past incidents that happened to our life. It shapes our personality for the future. Sometimes we remember our long-ago past memories and it makes us happy. 

Childhood memories are the best example of that. We all have lots of childhood memories and these are golden. These memories are vivid in our minds always. I know some memories could be hard to remember but most of them are vivid in our brain.

My Childhood Memories:

I have so many memories that I can remember now. Most of them are related to my family, parents, and siblings. Because I have spent most of my childhood times with them. My father was a government worker then and he had very little time to spend with his family.

But still, he managed to spend a huge time with us. I loved his activities. He took us to different places for a picnic. My mom used to cook very delicious meals for us. I can remember, we were staying at a village in Bihar and it was the house of an uncle. We went for a long drive from there. 

There was an amazing side view on the road. I loved the villages of Bihar. The people were friendly. I spent an amazing time with my cousins there. These memories are very bright on my mind and I love to think about all those days.

Child labor, an unfortunate reality for many children in the United States, is a multifaceted issue influenced by many factors. Key causes of juvenile exploitation often stem from economic circumstances, societal pressures, and gaps in the legal and regulatory framework.

Poverty is a predominant catalyst, forcing families to send their children to work to survive. It's a vicious cycle where the immediate financial gain from child labor trumps the long-term benefits of education.

Moreover, cultural and societal norms sometimes condone underage drudgery. Some communities, particularly in agricultural or family-run businesses, consider it a part of a child's upbringing, blurring the lines between teaching life skills and exploitation.

Finally, despite stringent labor laws, some industries exploit legal loopholes. For example, exemptions exist for family farms and certain age groups in agriculture, a sector with a high prevalence of juvenile exploitation.

Measures To Stop Child Labor

Tackling child labor necessitates holistic measures that address its root causes. Improving access to quality education, particularly in underprivileged areas, can divert children from the labor market. The Oceanic Economy popularly known as blue economy has emerged as a crucial development issue for optimum use of the oceans, seas and marine resources for sustainable development. Among the sustainable development goals (SDGs), SDG-14 focuses on sustainable use of the oceans, seas and marine resources for sustainable development. Ocean assets provide food and energy which are essential ingredients of human life. By overlooking the three-fourth proportion of the surface of earth, it is tough to achieve sustainable economic development by 2030. Given this, Bangladesh has adopted steps to ensure sustainable use the oceans, seas and marine resources attaining inclusive development and goal related to SDG-14. Bangladesh has 710 km long coastline with an exclusive economic zone of 200 Nautical Miles inside the Bay of Bengal. Marine fisheries contribute 19.40 per cent of the total fish production of the country. Besides, on an average, 81.0 per cent of the international tourists visit Cox's Bazaar in Bangladesh. The ocean of Bangladesh is contributing a noteworthy role to its overall socio-economic growth through enhancing the economic activities across the country and especially to the coastal zone at southern part. The country has so far, explored only a few number of Blue Economy sectors such as fisheries and aquaculture, shipbuilding, ship breaking, salt generation and port facilities. Besides, most of these sectors are following traditional methods. Therefore, there still remains ample opportunities as well as challenges for exploring large number of blue economy sectors, safeguarding mangrove and ocean grass, addressing environmental changes and managing carbon discharge, and introducing innovative technology for further development to contribute in achieving sustainable development goals.

Bay of Bengal is the northern side expansion of the Indian Ocean. In the east, it is attached to India, in west Sri Lanka, and in the north with Bangladesh and north eastern with Burma. The Bay of Bengal is 1,600 kilometer in breadth and an average depth of 2,600 meter. There are several seas uniting in the Bay of Bengal, Ganga and Eravati are also among these seas. It has heavy monsoons in both summer and winter seasons, and because of these heavy monsoons the climate of the Bay of Bengal Sea is always bad. Southern Bangladesh is especially affected of the bad climate of the Bay of Bengal.

Cricket in Bangladesh has gained popularity in recent times. Bangladesh hit the spot one day after winning the ICC trophy a few years ago. It is a big recognition for Bangladesh to enter the global competition. After a long and sustained development, we have finally reached experimental state, the most glorious state in world cricket. Bangladesh cricket team needs to be more organized. Batting line as well as bowling need to be further strengthened against strong opponents. The Bangladesh team can be improved with proper training and practice. A good coach can make a big difference. A world-class coach may be employed and more rigorous training sessions must be arranged. Only a non-stop practice can lead our cricket team to reach the desired level. Telented players must be searched nationally and selected for the national team. National cricket tournaments should be held regularly. In order to promote young talents, tournaments should also be held in schools, colleges and universities. Talented young cricketers will emerge from these tournaments and some of them should be selected for the national team. We should take steps to keep politics out of our cricket. Cricket should not get involved in politics and the Cricket Control Board should consist of real professionals. Any form of political interference can lead to poor player selection and consequent formation of a weak team. If effective management and teamwork are maintained, our cricket team can go a long way to world-class standards and repeat victories.
